
Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rehab Mahmoud Seddik, Dean of the faculty, and Prof. Dr. Rehab Saleh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Department of Basic Sciences in cooperation with the Department of Youth Welfare organised the second workshop entitled "Components of Visual Image between the Sighted and the Blind in Child Theatre". This workshop is part of a series of free training workshops offered to the faculty’s students. The workshop tackled: the meaning of a visual image, relation between child's instincts and theatrical phenomena, role of imagination in shaping the theatrical image for sighted and blind children, imagination for the sighted and blind, role of child's senses in in shaping the theatrical image, and meaning of Alfred Jarry's theory of imaginary solutions (Pataphysics). At the end, practical applications were presented. The workshop is presented by Dr. Sherine Moustafa Elsayed, Lecturer of Theatre, Department of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Education for Early Childhood. In her attendance, Dean Prof. Dr. Rehab Mahmoud Seddik listened to the students' opinions of the workshop content. The students praised the content because it aims to increase their competence and benefit them theoretically and practically.
