Under the auspices of Prof. Huda Basheer, Dean of the Faculty of Education for Early Childhood, and the supervision of Prof. Rehab Saleh, Faculty's Vice Dean for Students Affairs, the MAU of the Faculty of Education for Early Childhood completed a series of virtual workshops entitled "Bedaya" (The Beginning) which was organized at the onset of the academic year to train the faculty members and assistant staff members on using Microsoft Teams. The training program consisted of 7 workshops about the following topics:

1-    A workshop entitled "Basics of Using the Educational Platform Microsoft Teams" on October 13, 2020.

2-    A workshop entitled "Managing Virtual Classrooms on Microsoft Teams- Part 1" on October 20, 2020.

3-    A workshop entitled "Managing Virtual Classrooms on Microsoft Teams- Part 2" on October 22, 2020.

4-    A workshop entitled "Characteristics of Test Items" on October 28, 2020.

5-    A workshop entitled "Rubrics and Blueprints" on November 10, 2020.

6-    A workshop entitled "Challenges in Using Microsoft Teams- Part 1" on November 17, 2020.

7-    A workshop entitled "Challenges in Using Microsoft Teams- Part 2" on November 19, 2020.

-         The MAU created a training platform on Microsoft Teams which the faculty members and assistant staff members joined. An electronic educational library was also added to this platform; it includes various files and videos about using Microsoft Teams that were brought form the University's MAU, Microsoft Corporation and others. In addition, a copy of the "Bedaya" series' materials is added to the library.

-         The MAU launched an instant service via whatsapp "Measurement& Assessment Q&A" for the faculty members and assistant staff members and "Students: Measurement& Assessment Q&A" for the faculty's students to reply to all inquiries.

-         The MAU organized micro workshops at the Faculty and online to train students in different programs and postgraduate students on using Microsoft Teams and to provide the necessary technical support.

-         The MAU issued a university textbook quality manual to remind faculty members of the most important technical and academic standards for preparing the university textbooks.

All of the MAU's activities are highly appreciated and the workshops had a remarkable number of audiences who insured that they benefited from its services.
