Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abd Elaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and Prof. Dr. Said Allam, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Rania Yousry, the faculty’s coordinator of the Combating Violence against Women Unit, participated in a symposium entitled "Youself is Precious, Defend her" held on March 19, 2024. The symposium was presented by Prof. Dr. Wafa Alsahli, Professor of Forensic Medicine at Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Dr. Nada Al-Muezzin, Director of the Integrated Association for the Treatment of Psychosocial Crises, Prof. Dr. Manal Fouda, Executive Director of the Anti-Violence against Women Unit at the University, and Dr. Doaa Farouk, Sports Specialist at the Faculty of Physical Education. The symposium discussed how violence against women occurs and how common it is, honoring women and their rights in Islam, Pharaonic women were distinguished throughout the ages, verbal, psychological or physical abuse of women, women's right to file lawsuits, and how to deal with harassers
